JH.png Miss Jillian Hyde-Baron (Chair)
Jillian is a committed Christian and a retired headteacher of a Church of England Primary School. During her 16 years in post, the school had three 'Outstanding' SIAMS inspection grades. Jillian was a Lead Headteacher in Wigan Local Authority and a mentor for newly appointed Headteachers. Within the role of Lead Headteacher, Jillian conducted school reviews, providing challenge and support. Jillian previously worked as an Education Consultant at Kingsbridge SCITT, where she mentored Associate Teachers in Wigan schools. Jillian was an active member of the Wigan Safeguarding Children Board for over fifteen years and now devotes her time as a Magistrate in The Family Court. Outside of education, Jillian enjoys singing in a choir, visiting the theatre, watching musicals and walking, particularly in Jersey.
AS.png Mr. Andrew Stokes (Vice-Chair)
Andrew has lived in Standish since 1987, having originally resided in Rochdale. Andrew is employed by His Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and specialises in the field of VAT, where he serves as an inspector, based in Manchester. Andrew has significant experience in School Governance and is passionate about education. He is a committed Christian, a Parochial Church Council member and Lay Chair of the Chorley Deanery Synod. Andrew enjoys holidays and reading, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
CA.png Mrs. Carol Aspinall (Chair of Performance & Standards Committee)
Carol is a part-time Educational Consultant, specialising in Headteachers' Performance Management and supporting newly appointed Headteachers. Carol worked as a School Improvement Professional for Bolton MBC, where she had responsibility for 20 primary schools and six special schools. She line managed the Educational Psychologists and EHCP Team. Prior to this, Carol was a Headteacher of a joint Anglican and Methodist School for 14 years. During her time as a Headteacher, she qualified as both an Ofsted and SIAMS Inspector and carried out inspections as a serving Headteacher. Carol worships at St Wilfrid's Church, is a member of the Church choir and helps with Young Voices. Her personal interests include singing, playing the piano, walking and travelling.
SF.png Dr. Sheila Fisher (Co-opted Trustee)
Sheila has enjoyed a varied and fulfilling career from the time of her graduation as a doctor in 1985; firstly, as a maxillofacial surgeon specialising in face and jaw cancer surgery and trauma, and later in clinical research and governance. In 2010 she completed her PhD at the University of Leeds, studying the experiences of hand and neck cancer patients. She moved to Wigan in 2019 and is a Licensed Lay Minister. In response to the call for volunteers, she became a volunteer vaccinator at a COVID-19 vaccination hub. Sheila became a trustee of Wigan and Leigh Hospice in 2019 and is currently their Chair of the Board of Trustees. In her time off, Sheila enjoys walking her dogs, gardening, music and reading.

Mr. Paul Witkiewicz (Chair of Finance & Audit Committee)
Paul is a senior consultant within a company of independent financial advisers, providing bespoke financial planning for individuals and corporate clients. Paul has served as a Governor for many years, chairing a range of committees. Paul previously worked in the secondary school sector as a Head of Music - he continues to utilise his leadership skills within the music education sector with his work for Trafford Music Service, where he has been the conductor of their Youth Philharmonic Orchestra since May 2000. When time permits, Paul enjoys watching his son play rugby, baking and playing golf and squash.
